11/10/2019 0 Comments Final Reflection The first day I walked into digital photography, I had no idea what to expect. To be honest, I thought taking pictures was going to be a lot easier than it actually is. I was quickly proved wrong as soon as you told us to take out the cameras for the first time. For my first weekend assignment, I decided to take pictures of my brother blowing out his birthday cake candles. The first time he blew out the candles, I missed it, and had to make him do it again. The pictures were turning out very bad, and my family was becoming impatient with me so I put the camera away, and ended up getting a 17/20 on that assignment. Thankfully, the next week in class you taught us how to set the exposure triangle on the camera. I struggled with this at first, but kept practicing, and it improved the quality of my pictures a lot. After I got past the beginning stage of frustration with my pictures, it started to become more enjoyable. I began taking my camera to places even if it wasn't just for digital photography. All was going pretty dang well for me until the next week when you had us work in photoshop for the first time. As you know, most of the time we use photoshop my hand is up in the air for most of class, but believe it or not, I have improved a lot since the first time we used photoshop. Now I know how to use all the new tools and change the lighting in my photos. Overall, I have improved at taking pictures, knowing the exposure triangle, and working in photoshop. Digital photography was a great start to my day, and the most fun and chill class I've ever had, while still learning a lot. Worst Photos/Assignments Best Photos/Assignments

Before Editing After Editing Shutter Speed: 1/40 Aperture: f/5.6 ISO: 800 Reflection: This assignment took a little bit more work, but was worth it in the end. I also had to putt in photoshop to turn up the contrast and brightness.

Some things were easy, but some were more difficult. I had to learn how to add a smart layer, and new stuff like that.
